How to Make Golden Malted Waffles with a Warm Apple Topping

Ingredients

      For Waffles:
  • 1 cup of Golden Malted Original Waffle and Pancake Mix
  • 1 egg
  • 5 oz. water
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
    1. For Apple Topping:
  • 2 medium tart apples, sliced
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter

Preparation

For Warm Apple Topping:
  1. In a large skillet, melt butter and add brown sugar
  2. Add the sliced apples, raisins and pecans
  3. Cook and stir over medium-low heat for 3-4 minutes or until apples have softened
  4. Keep warm and set aside
For Waffles:
  1. Beat egg, and water together
  2. Add Golden Malted Original Waffle and Pancake Mix and mix well
  3. Stir in melted butter
  4. Ladle onto hot waffle iron and remove when the outside becomes crispy. We recommend using the Golden Malted Belgian Waffle Maker - makes perfect waffles every time!
  5. Serve with warm apple topping and Anderson's Pure Maple Syrup and Enjoy!
