How to Make Golden Malted Waffles with a Warm Apple Topping
Ingredients
- 1 cup of Golden Malted Original Waffle and Pancake Mix
- 1 egg
- 5 oz. water
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 2 medium tart apples, sliced
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tbsp butter
- For Waffles:
- For Apple Topping:
Preparation
For Warm Apple Topping:- In a large skillet, melt butter and add brown sugar
- Add the sliced apples, raisins and pecans
- Cook and stir over medium-low heat for 3-4 minutes or until apples have softened
- Keep warm and set aside
- Beat egg, and water together
- Add Golden Malted Original Waffle and Pancake Mix and mix well
- Stir in melted butter
- Ladle onto hot waffle iron and remove when the outside becomes crispy. We recommend using the Golden Malted Belgian Waffle Maker - makes perfect waffles every time!
